We showed up at 10pm. I had already washed my face and gotten into jammies when he suggested we just zip over and check things out. And there THEY were. The first 3 in line- a dude and two brothers. Well that just beckoned us to camp out.
Why, you ask? Because we need new phones? Of course not. New blue jeans? Yes. New bed sheets? Yes. New shoes? Yes. But our phones are new Iphones to begin with. So no. We didn't need new phones.
If you don't understand, you won't. We are just a couple of Mac fanboys who did it to BE FIRST. On what kind of silly things do you spend money? Coach purses? Omega watches? Nice cars? I bought my purse at a thrift shop, I don't wear a watch and both cars will be paid off in 10 months.
We've all got priorities, right?
So we decided to stay. I actually left and put on clothes, not jammies and grabbed chairs, books, my laptop, etc... all while he secured our spots. All night there were no more than 30 people. We camped out at the AT & T store by Jason's Deli in Lewisville. We laughed, got delirious, made McDonald's runs and watched people show up.
At 6am the manager showed up and counted off how many people in line would get phones. Their stock was limited. She counted 60 and turned away everyone else. By this time the line wrapped around the building. This surprised everyone as the rumore was they had 100.
Then we got to watch new people show up all kinds of disapponted. FUN!
(I am too old for this and feel like I got run over by a MAC truck. No pun intended.)
