So big week last week.... THE KIDS GOT THEIR CRANIAL BANDS OFF!!! YIPPEE!!! No more smelly heads, no more washing those things just so they can stink up in a minute and no more weekly adjustment appointments. BABIES ARE HAPPY, MAMA IS HAPPY! I am sure you can tell by my over use of exclamation points, i am excited! Anyways, the results from the 7 week adventure are good. Some better than others. It made a HUGE difference for Brady, very noticeable and looks SOOO much better. Reid's didn't need much adjusting but i can see the difference and it looks great. Trey i didn't think needed one, still don't see much difference so that is fine. Cameron... she needed it the most. I was hoping to see a bigger difference on her but as my pedi explained to me, the cranial bands can only change what was done because of sides they laid on or flat spots, NOT GENETICS. Well i too have a long and narrow head but you cant tell as bad on me because i have hair (and poor thing is my mini me). Her head does look better and it did correct how back heavy she was. So i am pretty pleased. Just glad its done. I will try to put together before and after comparisons when we get the photos back from them. THANK YOU SARAH AND VICKI FOR COMING WITH US!
Our most FAVORITE NICU nurse Vicki, whom we still talk to AND LOVE came with us to the appointment. We went to visit her at the hospital a while ago but they have gotten much bigger since. They are much bigger than what she is used to dealing with daily anyways :). VICKI WE LOVE YOU!!

B-man with a death grip on me "Mom, if i have to get scanned, I'm taking you with me"

My mini me, Cameron. Such a silly girl lately and what a chatterbox. The girl cant get enough attention.

"Come on Brady, we can break out of here and grab all the stuff we aren't supposed to if we jump at the same time" says Trey. The boys with Aunt Sarah

Daddy and his mini me, Trey. So many similarities, its scary!

Tired Trey, ready to go home and take a nap

Speaking of things coming off, my NICU bracelets have officially been cut off :(. I know, it so sad. Needless to say, after wearing them for 8 months (that's right my kiddos are 8 months today, CRAZY) they were in less than steller shape. I was putting Brady down on the floor after taking off a messy onesie and he kinda cried out. Didn't think much of it, thought he was upset about me putting him down (as he often is these days). Well, when i went to put a new onesie on, his back was bleeding! It was scratched up from my bracelets when i was holding him. I cleaned it all day, thinking, my goodness, those things were nasty. It was fine but that was the last straw. So it took me all day to get the courage up to cut them, but i did it. I took a picture of them first and am keeping them of course. So for those who always asked about them, they are off. Robbie still has his and his are in better shape (he doesn't get spit up on and tucked at 24/7 like i do). He plans on keeping them on til the kids turn 1 year old.
Took the kids out to shop for their fabric for their stockings my mom is making. This was their last outing before RSV season most likely (we have the rest of the month BOOKED with things). I took the runabout stroller and loaded it and unloaded it for the first time with out Robbie. But i did have my mom ;). Kids did great, lost it at the end but no full blown tantrums. Needless to say we get noticed when we go out. We get the usual comments ("You have your hands full" "Was that from fertility drugs" "How do you do it" "Do you watch John & Kate plus 8"). We don't mind the comments at all but the one thing that i am uncomfortable with is people touching my kiddos. There are already cases of RSV in the metroplex (area where we live for those not in the DFW area) so i am very cautious. For me, i would never touch someone elses baby or someone else for that matter, that i didn't know. Do you mom's out there have this problem too? I always ask those that start to touch or grab at my kids politely to not touch them, they get sick easily. Anyways, just something i had to discuss.
Reid's crawling status... We are all on the edge of our seats here about it. She wants it so bad, she throws the biggest fit after trying for awhile. And when i try to help her, she gets so mad. She rocks really hard and she moves her knees and legs up to her arms as if shes crawling, but when she tries to move her hands, she falls forward. She shifts her shoulders but doesn't shift her weight to each side. I am trying to show her but everyone tells me she will do it when shes ready. We cant wait though!!
The other three are doing much better at sitting up and Cameron is starting to push up too. So the girls may be first to crawl. Who knows! Cameron and Trey start ECI tomorrow. First appointment, but eager to see how it goes.
This week is super busy for we are getting ready for a volunteer appreciation party to thank all those that have helped us in the last 8 months with the quads. We want to make sure we make time to spend with those who helped us before RSV season. Because when that starts, its just me and the kids. God put some amazing people in our lives and we are ever so thankful for the time and love they gave to us and the quads. I haven't seen many of them in months (i only have help now on Monday's) so it will be great to catch up with them.
Not too much to report. I have two soon to be quad mamas that live in the area coming over this weekend to see a "day in the life" of quads! I will have to let you know if they run out of here screaming :), JK my kids are pretty good kids. Some of you asked about the new quad mom's blog addresses, i will ask them if its okay for me to put them on here first :)
The kiddos are so good at sitting up now, but being a paranoid mom, i still put crash mats around them.

Robbie was supposed to be in getting Brady to sleep in the pack n play in our room (hes having napping issues and waking the others up so hes napping in our room for now). So I am in the kitchen getting bottles ready for the next feed and all i hear is giggling instead of soothing :). I open the door and Robbie and Brady were playing peek a boo with the sheets. Brady was laughing so hard and looked right at me like "what are you going to do about it now". He was right, so i brought all the kids in their to play before their bottle and it was very cute!

Love, Casey
