FIRST-TEAM OFFENSE


Mike Moreno Roseville, Sr. – QB


The Sierra Foothill League Offensive MVP passed for 2,108 yards and 16 touchdowns and rushed for 847 yards and 11 touchdowns for the league co-champions.


Matt Satchwell Casa Roble, Sr. – RB


The Capital Athletic League Player of the Year rushed for 2,178 yards and 30 touchdowns in helping the Rams to a 13-0 season and a Division III section championship.


Devontae Booker Grant, Jr. – RB


All-Metro Conference pick rushed for 1,850 yards and 36 TDs and averaged 10.6 yards a carry, despite playing just half the game in many of the Pacers' one-sided wins.


Tyler Kenobbie Casa Roble, Sr. – Line


The 5-foot-11, 295-pound three-year starting center and Capital Athletic League co-Lineman of the Year made all the line calls in the Rams' spread offense.


Brian Beebe Pleasant Grove, Sr. – Line


The Delta River League co-Lineman of the Year was the offensive line leader and a huge reason the three-year varsity Eagles played for their first section title.


Alesana Laban Grant, Sr. – Line


The 6-2, 275-pound Metro Conference MVP Lineman led an offense that averaged 438 total yards and nearly seven touchdowns a game. Also had 55 tackles and four sacks.


Eddie Thomas Granite Bay, Sr. – Line


The 6-1, 220-pounder set school record for most "decleaters" (knocking an opponent off his feet) in a season. He was the Sierra Foothill League Lineman of the Year.


Lefi Letuligasenoa Elk Grove, Jr. – Line


The 6-2, 270-pound bulldozer was a bright light in a disappointing season for the 6-4 Thundering Herd. He was regularly moved up and down the line to exploit defenses.


Tristan Baer Casa Roble, Sr. – WR


The All-CAL wide receiver selection caught 51 passes for 1,153 yards and 21 touchdowns – more than two-thirds of his team's touchdowns through the air.


Andrew Benavides Folsom, Sr. – WR


The Delta River League All-Purpose Player of the Year was second in the Sac-Joaquin Section in TDs (20) and receiving yards (1,223). He had 56 receptions.


Zack Davis Roseville, Sr. – All-Purpose


The All-SFL Utility selection had 787 receiving yards and seven touchdowns, rushed for 645 yards and nine touchdowns and intercepted seven passes for the 8-4 Tigers.


Kipeli Koniseti Grant, Sr. – All-Purpose


Metro Conference MVP did it all as a quarterback, kicker and linebacker. Passed for 1,366 yards and 17 touchdowns and rushed for 777 yards and nine TDs.


Adric Jope Rio Americano, Sr. – Kicker


The All-CAL kicker made 28 extra-point kicks, had 12 touchbacks in 58 kickoffs and made 12 field goals, including four of 45 yards for the 8-3 Raiders.


FIRST-TEAM DEFENSE


Sean Nill Laguna Creek, Sr. – Line


The 6-foot, 225-pound Delta Valley Conference MVP had 147 tackles and six sacks, despite constant double teams. Cardinals held foes to fewer than 15 points a game.


Anthony Larry Burbank, Sr. – Line


The 6-3, 235-pound run-crunching end had 55 tackles, 13 sacks and an interception in helping the Titans play for a section football title for the first time in school history.


Josh Fields Rio Linda, Sr. – Line


The imposing 6-3, 235-pound Capital Valley Conference Lineman of the Year was a sideline-to-sideline player in producing 97 tackles, two sacks and a fumble recovery.


Darius Woods Woodcreek, Sr. – Line


The 6-4, 235-pound Sierra Foothill League Defensive MVP had 84 tackles, eight sacks and three fumble recoveries for the Timberwolves.


Jeremiah Toma Grant, Sr. – LB


The 6-foot, 215-pound Metro Conference Defensive MVP led the Pacers in tackles (165) and sacks (10). Also recovered four fumbles and intercepted two passes.


Josh Tucker Christian Brothers, Sr. – LB


The 5-10, 195-pound Sierra Valley Conference MVP was an every-down player and two-way force. Had 74 tackles, three sacks; also rushed for 1,402 yards and 13 TDs.


LaDon Hudson Inderkum, Sr. – LB


The 6-3, 200-pound Tri-County Conference MVP second on the Tigers with 81 tackles. Helped Inderkum play in its first section title game in just its fourth varsity season.


Ryan Loder Granite Bay, Sr. – LB


The 6-2, 195-pounder could rush, tackle and cover for one of the area's top defenses. Was the team leader in sacks (3 1/2). Will wrestle at Northern Iowa next year.


Vince Mayle Inderkum, Sr. – LB


The 6-2, 200-pound all-around standout was the team leader in sacks with 10 and in TDs with 14. Also earned Tri-County Conference Offensive MVP honors.


Russell Vonschoech Pleasant Grove, Sr. – DB


The 5-6, 155-pounder was the Delta River League Defensive Player of the Year for the Eagles in an 11-3 season. Had 116 tackles, five fumble recoveries and three interceptions.


Cole Stanford Nevada Union, Sr. – DB


The 6-2, 210-pound Delta Valley Conference Defensive Player of the Year had 84 tackles and four interceptions in helping the 10-2 Miners to a co-DVC championship.


Darvin McCauley Grant, Sr. – DB


The 5-11, 180-pound all-around standout had four interceptions and 30 tackles. Also scored 14 touchdowns, 10 as an all-league wide receiver.


Trevor Peterson El Dorado, Sr. – Utility


The 6-4, 230-pound Boise State tight end recruit played linebacker (52 tackles, four sacks), receiver (three TDs), running back (1,028 rushing yards, six TDs) and QB.
